The 2x4 Tango Festival is a celebration of Argentine Tango in UK with all different tango activities from workshops to practicas and Milongas with perfromances by re-known artists and excperienced tutors of international recognition.
It takes place in two different cities twice in a year; every November in Lincoln and every February in Newcastle.

We are delighted to invite you to the first 2x4 Festival, a Festival which will be taking place on regular basis in different locations and times.
Come and enjoy an exciting weekend of authentic Argetnine Tango combined with walks and sightseeing in beautiful, lively and historic Lincoln!
tutors/performers
Julio Mendez & Lila
CVs: Julio has long experience in Argentine Tango. He has been dancing professionally and teaching Argentine Tango in Buenos Aires, Europe and North America since 1993. He has danced with many different partners such us Guillermina Quiroga. He created and organized Milongas such as la Calesita in Buenos Aires. Nowadays he is based in Zurich, Sardinia and Buenos Aires and he organizes Alghero and Luzern Tango Festivals.
Lila is a professional dancer and she had been dancing in the Hungary National theatre for 18 years. She is also a Pilates instructor. At present she is the tango partner of Julio Mendez.

19:30 - 23:30 Tango Ball with performances by Julio & Lila and Guillermo & Maria. DJ Guillermo Torrens - Music: exclusively authentic Argentine tango including short live performance

15:45 - 17:15 Workshop IV with Guillermo & Maria. Theme: Change of directions on crowded floor. Technique & practical details. Level 1
17:30 - 19:00 Workshop V with Guillermo & Maria. Theme: Giro technique. Turning on axis and maintaining the acurancy of the circular movement. Level 1
19:00 - 21:00 Goodbye Milonga/practica for you to try and explore what you learnt during the Festival
