LADIES TECHNIQUE SERIES

22 april / 13 may / 10 june

Part 1: Sunday, 22 April 

THEME: FOLLOWING - DISCOVER ELEGANCE INSIDE TECHNIQUE. This workshop will cover the technique related to axis, balace, walking on heels, pivoting, ochos, molinete, switching between open and close embrase while elegance will be the objective

Part 2: Sunday, 13 May

 

THEME: FOLLOWING WITH MUSICALITY - HOW TO ADAPT FOLLOWING TO DIFFERENT ORCHESTRAS AND STYLES OF MUSIC. This workshop will focus on all different ways of listening to the music, recognising different elements of it, listening to what each different music "says" and understanding how following is also about musicality!

 

Part 3: Sunday, 10 June

THEME: FOLLOWING - REFLECT YOUR PERSONALITY THROUGH YOUR OWN INTERPRETATION. These workshops will focus on various ornaments, learn their technique, how to use them in different music pieces, recognise the ones that are led from the ones that are initiated by the follower and understand how to make your choice .

 

TIME: Each Part will take place 12:30 - 15:10 with 10 minutes break

All workshops with be taught by Maria Maragaki  

VENUE: Newcastle Companions Club

NOTES: LIMITED PLACES, please BOOK IN ADVANCE for securing a place.

If you are driving to the venue make sure you have enough extra time since finding a parking space can be very difficult on a Sunday.
